WARRENS ROADTRIP 2009
Well... here it goes. A good number of the D.E.A. crew and a ton of good friends decided to make the voyage up to Warrens Wisconsin this past weekend. We piled in my bands $300 van and crossed our fingers. Goals for the weekender were to 1.) Get footage for the DEA Dvd, 2.) Have a blast, 3.) Get loose!! Pretty safe to say our goals were met and surpassed!
Here are some photos from the weekend!

Jake Hinke was along for the weekend!!

Things were getting a bit hot in the back of the van so we decided the only logical thing to do was to rip out the side window...

During the finals of the intermediate class bmx comp Brian Wilson went down extremely hard on a huge lookback gap. He knocked his head pretty good and was out for about 2 minutes before coming to. Thanks to the Jellystone staff and the Tomah paramedics he was able to make it to the hospital quickly to get checked out. After such an insane fall it was amazing to hear he only had a few scrapes and scratches, his MRI's showed up good and he was released from the hospital later that night and went home with his parents.

It was really scary to see such a good friend in a situation like this. Brian's brain was still recovering from the injury and his short term memory was very weak.

Although he was in very rough shape he still had a good sense of humor about the whole situation and kept asking if anyone got the crash on film. After saying, yes. He responded "Good, thats all that matters."

Wear your helmets

On a lighter note... Josh had to drive Brian Wilson's car to the hospital (being the only one who knew how to drive stick). Josh and B Will had just met the night before and we figured a photo of Josh driving Brian's car would be humorous since he couldn't remember meeting Josh... Sorry Brian!

Robert being an idiot as usual decided it was a good idea to listen to music in his car for hours without starting it....

And thats a wrap! We were planning on heading to Madison to ride street on Sunday but we woke up at 7am to a river flowing through our campsite and insanely heavy rains. Our bikes soaking wet and everything was caked in mud. We decided to just pack up and head home. Thanks to everyone that made this weekend so fun!
